Eleven-year-old King Sanchez, a native of Brgy. Lucsuhin and a son to proud father Lito Sanchez, first took Ibaan by storm when he performed during the presentation of candidates for Mutya Ng Ibaan 2012 at the Medrano Plaza. Too young he may seem, he wooed and awed the crowd with his thrilling performance as he rendered Jon Bon Jovi and Journey original songs. The first time King spilled his voice on the microphone, Ibaenos immediately stood on their feet and gave him a deafening round of applause.
Based on his song selections, obviously, he admitted he's a big fan of and is inspired by Pilipinas Got Talent's first Grand Winner Jovit Baldivino.
The King's Journey
According to his father Lito, although he's been training his son for some years already, King was discovered in Brgy. Conde, Batangas City last year when they went to their relatives to the said barangay during barrio fiesta. During said fiesta, a singing contest is to held that night. Knowing King is into singing, their relatives fielded him as a contestant. But due to young age, he was turned down. Instead, he was asked to be the contest's guest performer.

Since then, his father's phone kept on ringing. Invitations have been coming from different municipalities in the Province of Batangas. Asking for King's presence on stage with their events and celebrations.
Mayor's Recommendation
After hearing announcements from radio about Provincial Capitol staging a singing contest, they immediately went to Office of the Mayor and asked for a recommendation since it's required by the event organizer headed by Provincial Capitol PACD. Mayor Danny Toreja, having watched King perform during the Mutya Ng Ibaan 2011 Candidates presentation, didn't hesitate giving King his recommendation.

"Huwag mong kakalimutan ang iyong pag-aaral. Bagamat nandiyan ang oportunidad, makabubuti pa rin na balanse ang atensyon na ibinibigay sa pagkanta at sa pag-aaral. Bata ka pa. Ingatan mo ang iyong boses at umiwas sa mga bisyo. Para rin sa kabutihan mo ito" (Don't forget about your studies. Although you now have the opportunity, it's important that you balance your singing career and your studies. You're still young. Take are of our voice and avoid vices. This is for your own good), Mayor Toreja reminded King.
After handing the recommendation letter, father and son went on their way with smile on their faces. And Mayor Toreja hoping for The "King's" success.
