Lined-up Activities For Ibaan 180th Founding Anniversary

In line with Ibaan 180th Founding Anniversary celebration, the Steering Committee has lined-up monthly activities until February next year, 2012. It is to be remembered that early this year during the 179th anniversary celebration, festivities were done with moderation where simple ceremonies and activities only. The highlight of which was the presentation of candidates for Mutya Ng Ibaan 2012.

Mayor Danny Toreja sits on the Steering Committee as Overall Chairman, followed by Atty. Francisco Guerra as Chairman. The members include Vice Mayor Sixto Yabyabin, Mr. Federico Caringal, Engr. Mario Samson, Engr. Nelson Guerra, Dra. Patricia Toreja, Mrs. Yolanda Tolentino, Mrs. Lorna Silva, Mrs. Eloisa Samson, Mrs. Gina Cayetano and Mr. Francisco Pabito.

Last month, two activities already went down the calendar. In April 8, kite tricksters were summoned to fly their kites above Ibaan round sky through PAPAGAYUJUAN 2011. Entry from Brgy, Malainin won the kite demostration. In April 11, on the other hand,  through the efforts and cooperation of PESO and DOLE, Jobs Fair dubbed as "Trabaho Pasa Sa Ibaeno" was conducted at Recto Gym. The said event was participated by around 16 companies and manpower agencies offering local and abroad job opportunities.

Meanwhile, for the month of May, just a few days ago, May 1, Mutya Ng Ibaan 2012 candidates had their photo shoots at Himamawo Spring located at the southwestern part of Brgy. Malainin. Other activities scheduled for the month of May involves Operation Tuli (Free Circumcision) to be held at Municipal Health Center (May 6, 8:00am-12 nn), Dental and Medical Mission (May 22, Fr. Guido Gym, St. James Academy),  KALIBAYAN Concert (May 28, Medrano Plaza, 7:00pm onwards) and Public and Private School Teachers' Day (tentative date is May 28 and to be finalized by Mrs. Eloisa Samson, along with its venue).
