The Interview

TIA:  What keeps you awake late at night?

Anna:   Here are the things that keep me awake late at night: music, texting, internet, T.V, thinking a lot of things, and sometimes insomnia. Even when I do try, I can never fall asleep most of the time.

Ann is headed to get a career in international hospitality industry.

TIA:  Assuming you have a boyfriend, are you going to let him kiss you in a movie house? Why?

Anna:  Para sa akin, hindi, kasi pumunta kami dun to watch movie not for him to kiss me there. Gusto ko kasi pag nanunuod, dun lang talaga nkafocus sa movie para maintindhan namin. Diba?

TIA:  What is it that you can’t talk about with your parents?

Anna:  I think there is nothing that I can’t talk with my parents, kasi whatever I do, I always let them know to get their permission. Ayaw ko nman mag-lie kahit minsan nagagawa ko pero after nman sinasabi ko din eh para alam din nila. Yun.

TIA:  What’s the most embarrassing moment in your life?

Anna:  I guess the most embarrassing moment in my life happened in the house ng kabarkada ko. I remember it was her mother’s birthday, it’s my first time na uminom, after a few minutes hilong hilo na ako at dahil doon I wasn’t able to stand up and head to the bathroom, so I just puked on their doorstep pero di ko talaga sinasadya. After nun, sabi ko sa sarilo ko, di na ‘ko mag iinom ulet.

Anna has the "bombay" features that makes her standout.

TIA:  What makes a responsible netizen?

Anna:  A responsible netizen is someone who has respect to other users of internet, by not using internet to pass their privacy and not using it to violate human rights. A responsible netizen uses internet in important things not for a disgusting work.

TIA:  What should a man do to win your heart?

Anna:  For me, there is no certain thing a man can do to win my heart, as long as he shows na sincere siya sa nararamdaman nya and he stays true to his feelings. It would be okay.

TIA:  What turns you off during a date?

Anna:  Some of the things that turns me off during a date is when my date always whine about his ex-girlfriends and talks about other girls. One more thing is when he’s constantly using his phone. Isama pa natin yung tipong puro na lang siya complain kahit sa mga napaka-simple at napaka-liit na bagay.

TIA:  With what you are now, is there anything that you would like to say to your elementary teachers?

Anna:  Of course, I would like to thank them for the time that they’ve spent para maturuan ako sa loob ng anim na taon. They’ve helped me develop and improve my personality kaya ganito ako ngayon.

She will be remembered as the "shy-type" Mutya ng Ibaan 2012 candidate.

TIA:  Do you think Ibaan calendar is worth it? Why?

Anna:  Yes, I think it’s worth it naman, kasi ngayon lang naman nagkaroon ng that kind of stuff here in Ibaan at saka hindi siya katulad ng ibang calendar na kung ano lang ang nakalagay. Ibaan calendar showcases the beauty of Ibaan at kung anong maihahandog ng Ibaan sa mga tao. Hindi tulad ng ibang calendar na pagkatapos ng taon ay pwede mo ng i-dispose. Pero ito, hindi. Maaring ito lang ang maging insturmento para makita pa rin natin ang hitsura ng ibaan at kung ano meron ito sa paglipas na panahon.

TIA:  How are you going to promote your barangay and the Municipality of Ibaan?

Anna:  I will promote our Barangay and the Municipality of Ibaan in the way na magkakaroon ng interest ang mga tao na pumunta ditio, na kilalanin ang lugar na ito at tangkilikin ang mga produkto dito.

TIA:  What do you think of Chief Justice Renato Corona?

Anna:  Si Chief Justice Corona. I think hindi siguro siya naging mabuting Chief Justice, at hindi rin siya fit para sa posisyon na yun kaya siya in-impeach. Yun. Di po kasi ako nanunuod ng impeachment nya kaya wala ako masabi. Hehe.

She grew up as a God-fearing and loving daughter.

TIA:  What’s the difference between winning and losing?

Anna:  I think preparation often make difference between the two. It doesn’t mean na when you lose, talo ka talaga, siguro hindi lang talaga ganun kaganda ang preparation mo kaya ka natalo, pero isipin mo na panalo ka pa din kasi nagawa mo kung ano lang yung na-prepare mo.

TIA:  Do you wish to win Mutya ng Ibaan 2012? Why?

Anna:  Of course, gusto ko rin manalo pero ok lang kung hindi. Hehe. Para matuwa nman sakin ang family ko, maging proud sila sa akin pati ang barangay namin.

TIA:  Is there anything that you wish to change in Ibaan?

Anna:  Sa ngayon, parang wala naman kasi ang Ibaan naman ay maganda na, peaceful pa ditto. Dati naman ganito na din eh, I think need lang i-maintain yung pagiging ganito ng Ibaan para maging maganda lagi ang feedback ng mga bumubisita dito.

TIA:  Among the candidates, who do you think is the most competitive? Why?

Anna:  I think si Jessa ang most competitive among the mutya’s kasi sanay na siya sumali sa mga ganitong beauty pageant eh compared sa akin, sa amin, saka lagi siyang game sa lahat. Yun po.
