The Interview

TIA:  Assuming some guy is courting you, what do you want him to do to prove his worth?
Alyza Mae:   It is easy to say that we love a person, but it would have to take years or should I say forever to see the realness of once love. I have always been a believer that love is patient and with that I think the best way to prove his worth is to wait till the time that I am ready to engage myself in a relationship. Wherein, I'm mature enough to make decisions . Also, if the one who loves me can present his self and can court me at our house and be a man.

Up close and personal, her face could launch a thousand ship.
TIA:  What are the usual everyday contents of your bag?
Alyza Mae:  I consider my bag as my buddy and what I have in it is quite common to what girls of my age have. I usually bring with me things like make-up kit, cellphone, wallet, notebook, pen, umbrella and my most important gadget - my pepper spray. It might sounds funny. But with number of crimes happening everyday, we don't know when it will hit us. It's not bad to have some protection. Life is too precious to be wasted.

TIA:  Do you do your laundry? In the future, are you going to make your husband do the laundry?
Alyza Mae:  My mom implanted me the value of responsibility since I was little and i think part of that is doing some of my laundry. In terms of the future, I would definitely do that part, because I agree that household chores should be under the wives management.

TIA:  What are the ingredients of a long lasting relationship?
Alyza Mae:  I think the ingredients of a long and lasting relationship are, first and foremost faith and fear in God for he is the center of everything, trusts that should never be broken for it’s as fragile as mirror and of course acceptance in what one can and can't give.

"Ibaan is a famiy-friendly place. That's why I love it in here", says Alyza.
TIA:  If given the chance, will you join Survivor Philippines? Why?
Alyza Mae:  I would definitely grab the opportunity to be on survivor Philippines, because I've always wanted to know and experience the lives of island people. We often have this misconception about their personality when in fact we don't know how they suffer to survive in their community. And this is the reason behind discrimination. I would like to start the change and get ready for coming challenges.

TIA:  Where do you think is the most romantic place in Ibaan to have a date? Why?
Alyza Mae:  I cannot choose one that I can consider as the most romantic place to spend a date because I foresee our spots here as family centered and I think the romantic atmosphere comes from the lovers themselves and our people.

TIA:  Have you ever been drunk? When and where?
Alyza Mae:  I've never experienced to literally get drunk because I know for a fact that alcohol would bring me no good and I should always be cautious with my actions.

TIA:  What are the signs that make a guy gay?
Alyza Mae:  I think the most obvious signs that a guy is gay are when of course he uses unnecessary female products, when he walks with hips that's as soft as waves and of course appreciates number of men than noticing pretty good women.

Alyza plans to specialize in tourism and hospitality management.
TIA:  What can you sacrifice for your family?
Alyza Mae:  I'm willing to sacrifice everything I've got. Material things can be replaced as long as you have perseverance, friends come and go, dreams can wait and can be flushed away but my family are the only people who never gets tired to stay no matter how bad I can be can never be flushed away nor replaced. they are everything I've got, the gasoline that fuels me every single day and without them I'm nothing.

TIA:  The next Mutya ng Ibaan competition will be on 2017. What will be your advice to those aspiring to join Mutya ng Ibaan?
Alyza Mae:  My advice would be as simple as If you have Ibaan in you, if you have intelligence, beauty, appreciation to our town, aspiring goals for our community and never ending love for learning, don't hold back, because I think those things make up a real Mutya ng Ibaan.

Alyza has worked hard for this event. And she's not giving up till end.
TIA:  What are the advantages and disadvantages of having a Facebook account?
Alyza Mae:  Through facebook, we tend to socialize to people here and abroad, we can freely express our thoughts, reach our distant family members and chances for market expansion is widely opened and those are the matters I consider as advantages. The only thing that i think destroys the benefits of this social networking site is the irresponsibility of the users, and that is one serious issue that should also be resolved because this shows massive abuse of the effort of modern minds.

TIA:  How are you going to promote your barangay and the Municipality of Ibaan?
Alyza Mae:  Well, I would like to promote Poblacion as a commercial area that manages to remain peaceful and orderly, and Ibaan as a simple and small town with big dreams to give progress to the community through the help of our dynamic government, our incomparable spots and of course our town folks who never fails to prove that IBA ANG IBAAN!

TIA:  Are you in favor of divorce? Why?
Alyza Mae:  Marriage is a sacred event that requires not just maturity but willingness as well as to devote yourself to cherish the person you agreed to spend your life with. If divorce would be legalized, the essence of marriage would be nothing. And I firmly disagree with it most especially nowadays that we have a growing rate of broken/destroyed families. I think now is the time to be alarmed and do something about it. We have to fight for a long lasting relationships rather than creating monstrous laws.

TIA:  Is there anything that you want to change in Ibaan?
Alyza Mae:  I would not change anything not because I think Ibaan is perfect as it is, but because I can see how we natives of the town keeps on reinventing to uplift Ibaan to an even higher level. And I know for a fact that sooner or later, we can definitely be the best town of the province.

TIA:  Among the candidates, who do you think is the most competitive? Why?
Alyza Mae:  I think all of us our competitive. We continue developing ourselves to become more presentable and we develop our skills in pageant so that when the main event comes we are all ready and prepared.
